ITEMS USEFUL FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH A LIMB AT RISK OF SWELLING

- Antibiotic or antiseptic cream e.g. Betadine or Crysticide type cream
- Antibiotic tablets if travelling to a remote destination. Discuss this with your GP
- Plasters
- Insect repellant. You may also want to take antihistamine tablets and cream to treat insect bites
- Sunscreen
- Anti-fungal powder, ointment or cream to treat fungal infections between your toes if you are prone to these infections for at risk leg lymphoedema
- Moisturiser e.g. Aqueous cream can be used in conjunction with compression garments
- Compression garments for flying: armsleeve or stocking
- Swimming booties for walking round rocks, swimming over coral for at risk leg lymphoedema
- Gaiters or shin guards for tramping, mowing lawns for at risk leg lymphoedema
