CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY
IN THE BAYS FOR OVER
25 YEARS!
UPDATE UNDER ALERT LEVEL 1.0
BAY PHYSIOTHERAPY IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ONGOING QUALITY SERVICES FOR OUR PATIENTS.
BAY PHYSIOTHERAPY will be open again for face to face
consultations at alert Level 1.0, with ongoing COVID-19 precautions
in place to keep our patients and staff safe.
We will be continuing to offer TeleHealth Consultations for those patients who are
unable to come into the Clinic or would prefer to use this option.
As a standard procedure we will be checking all staff daily and all patients at
each appointment to ask the following questions:
Do you have any of the following symptoms such as runny nose, fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat.
Have you come into close or casual contact with someone who has a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 diagnosis in the past 14 days?
Are you a health care worker or have you undertaken international
travel in the past 14 days?
Under Ministry of Health Guidelines, we are happy for you to wear
a mask during your Clinic appointment if you wish, and feel free to request that
your Physiotherapist wears one also if you have any health concerns.
There is hand sanitiser in our entrance for you to use on your way in.
We are encouraging all our staff and patients to continue to scan our QR code
for contact tracing purposes, when you enter our premises.
If you choose to have a TeleHealth consultation, it will be carried out by one of
our team of experienced Physiotherapists, so the level of clinical expertise
will be exactly the same.
The use of phone and/or video via ZOOM will enable us to conduct
questioning, complete an examination and deliver education and
rehabilitation guidelines as appropriate.
In some cases our assessment may be somewhat limited as we won't be
able to do hands on testing.
We may recommend further investigation or referral onto
another Specialist as appropriate.
TeleHealth consultations will be available for ACC and Private
consultations for all new and existing patients.
ACC will continue to cover a portion of your treatment costs and
Southern Cross will now cover TeleHealth consultations in part
or full if you have Physiotherapy cover.
YOU CAN CONTACT US

If you are a HEALTH PROFESSIONAL wanting to refer a patient for musculoskeletal assessment, post surgical oncology or orthopaedic rehabilitation, please email

To all our very dear patients, families and colleagues, take care out there
and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Best wishes
